How a national contractor rebuilt its estimating desk around its own estimators

The contractor's estimating desk was rebuilt around the way its own estimators actually price.

That included rules held only by the person who had done the work longest. The system starts from the contractor's own expertise.

Glyph film: a golden flower drawn in glowing cells

Our engineers sat with the estimators and wrote down how a bid is actually priced, including the exceptions nobody had documented, before anything was built.

Building the system

The written blueprint set out how the desk prices a bid, which systems hold the numbers, and which calls stay with the estimators.

The system prepares the estimate from the contractor's own records and rules, and hands every judgment call to the estimator who owns it.

Lyrion builds inside the business, on its own platforms and under its own controls, and continues to operate the system after go-live.
